Mr President,despite initial setbacks and problems,the year 2014 saw some achievements in various sectors.One significant move this year was your promotion of buying and using made in Ghana goods.A directive which has had tremendous impact on local production.You also cut the sod to mark the beginning of constructional work on major projects and commissioned other projects the recent one being the Adenta water project.For a period stretching twenty years,the people of Adenta and its environs are going to enjoy constant water supply which would in turn boost production. The ICT industry has seen significant improvement and innovation.Moving the industry from its somewhat analogue settings into the digital environment making it more business oriented than it used to be.The industry is seeing expansion covering areas of education and training.The policy to make HI-TECH communication available to every citizen no matter your social status or where you live is underwy beginning with the removal of taxes on importation of android phones and accessories. Many schools were constructed this year in line with your accessibility and quality education policy.The beautiful and first class education facility built by the metropolitan authorities is one of such initiatives,the massive construction of schools and rehabilitation of dilapidated schools are all available to see. The Komenda Sugar factory initiative is another wonderful achievement considering its impact on the people of central region. Though the energy sector continue to experience some challenges,data and findings available suggest that Ghana is going to see permanent solution to its perennial energy crisis after all the projects and programmes are completed.The Atuabo gas project is one such wonderful moves by the administration.
