Ms. Keryn Newman wrote a scathing and I mean Scathing review of the quasi-judicial hearing that was condcuted by the WVPSC as it relates to the billing and meter reading problmes of Potomac Edison. WV PSC is in need of legislative reform immediately if not sooner. To his credit, Del Delegate Stephen Skinner expressly articulated the outrage of Eastern Panhandle to First Energy and Potomac Edison. Much respect to Mr. Skinner. He merits reelection next year. Without a doubt. I also believe Sen. Herb Snyder, WV Senator District 16 Herb Snyderalso has a deep concern about how the WV PSC and Potomac Edison business plan model. Sen. John Unger, WV Senate Majority Leader John Unger also voice concern with the WV PSC and legislative reform of the commission. TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS THAT THE WV PSC was having an OPRAH moment and letting the citizens of the EP exhale and act like their opinions matter. Kery was probably correct a dog and pony show, a facade, a move to blunt any effort for leg reform. How political and cynical. After the hearing WV PSC director immediatrely thought that the solution was continued metrics. Realy????? What further facts need to be found if less meter readers and more flawed estimates are needed then play stall ball. The time has come. It is apparent from the hearings that WV PSC will use time to wait out the issue and have an alleged evidentiary hearing to further stall until Pot Ed. hopefully figures out the flaws in the algorithym which impact every rate payer. There will be no 1 year requirement to read every meter every month. nor penalty for violation of tarifff agreement and 10.55 PROFIT MARGIN (IMO). stoppathwv/stoppath-wv-blog.html
