Congratulations to all federal and states health agencies and personnel for their roles in containing the spread of the Ebola contagion. We must also remember the heroic exploits of Dr Stella Adedavoh and her colleagues at the First Consultants Hospital who first spotted the disease at great personal sacrifice. The lesson of our Ebola success story is worth exploring here; if the determination and purpose put in containing Ebola can be deployed in confronting other challenges, Nigeria can comfortably shine as a positive example and model to the rest of the world. Our African brothers in Sierra Leone and Liberia are still battling to contain the disease. As the leading African nation, it is our moral obligation and strategic responsibility to extend the necessary support and expertise to help them contain Ebola.
