Mumbai – The Goddess Mumbai is a Goddess.. She revels in success and even more in failure; fiercely independent, gives a lot but asks very little in return; thrives in the heat and the rains.. but, she never complains. In her kingdom, Ambition and Time are the gatekeepers. Hordes come here to make a fortune and many do. And many don’t. But everyone tries.. tries their best. She is the Fortuneteller, the Kingmaker. She is in-your-face, inevitable and relentless. Her currents are strong, you cannot resist. You can only get carried away If you are in Mumbai, you better have a good reason to be here. Otherwise, her ruthlessness will flush you out like a tigress leaves her weak cubs to die. The city lets your reach go beyond your grasp.. You must dream. Dream BIG to survive. She never sleeps. If she does, many a real dreams would be ashatter. So stay awake, keep walking and keep trying. She will take care of you and make sure you flourish in her kingdom. An ode to my city.. - Noopur
