Mums send off yesterday. My hope for yesterday was that we could - TopicsExpress

Mums send off yesterday. My hope for yesterday was that we could have a get together to celebrate mums life, and not have a really somber occasion -I think we pulled that off. I wanted to stick to doing things mums way - I think we managed that on the whole. With the story telling, I wanted to make sure that there were a few smiles as well as the sad bits - I think that seemed to work. I wanted everyone to leave having learned something about mum they didnt know before, or having heard a story that hadnt already heard - I think that was the case. I hope everyone there gained something from the day. So thank you Zena Wild, Trina Inwood, Debbie mckee Measey, and George Bunny Measey for doing such a great job with reading the poems, letter etc. you were all fabulous and really did mum proud, Thank you. Thank you Victoria Lyarne Condon for all the work you did on the photos for the display boards. They were great, I was really happy with them. Also thank you to you and your boys for setting the room up at the beginning. Thank you to my lovely nieces Caz Barr, and Paula Wynn, my fab cousin Jacqui Cartwright, and my wonderful sister June Burrough for being the family support. With the complete lack of anyone who actually shared any genes with mum being there, it was especially important to me that you all came- thank you. I love you all very much. Thank you Kez, for putting up with me being so focused on mums stuff for the last couple of weeks. It has been a bit full on. Thankyou to Sarah Howard, who has spent so many hours helping with arrangements, taking me to appointments, organising every detail with me, and being my rock through all of this. Thank you everyone who came yesterday, you all helped to make it a special, memorable day. Thank you everyone who helped with things yesterday, in one way or another. Lastly, thank you everyone for the support I have had over the last couple of week. For the cards, messages, phone calls, flowers, and for all the hugs. Its all been very welcome and needed. Wow . . . That felt a bit like an acceptance speech at the baftas. I hope you havent all fallen asleep! Xxx
