Muppet Wiki. M. C. Escher was born this day in 1898. One of his most famous works depicts a paradoxical world in which the normal laws of gravity do not apply. The piece was the inspiration for the illusionary maze in Jim Hensons Labyrinth. As with many aspects of that dreamworld, the imagery comes from a poster in Sarahs room featuring Eschers Relativity. Muppet Babies and Sesame Street have also referenced Eschers art.
