Music Licensing for TV/Film Artists often dont give me song or cue titles, which is frustrating. Its the very best when the artist had taken the care to make sure the cues or music they sent include meta-data so that when I load a disc in my computer, the song titles, artist name, and a CD title all come up in my iTunes. Its also important for me to have songwriter information and publishing details, which I will ultimately need to report on cue sheets for my TV series. There is enough finishing work that needs to be done on projects but to have to chase down artists one by one to get their publishing entity, which recording society they are with, and exactly how the songwriters name is spelled, is a bother. You should always include that information with everything you submit. - Brent Kidwell, Freelance Music Supervisor #Mulinjer - The fundamental element for the future of music, literature and journalism.
