Music for a rainy Saturday in December- New York Tendaberry (the bonus track for digital buyers of Christmas in New York) was nominated yesterday for a Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals. Singing this great, poetic Laura Nyro song (almost a scene, really) with Billy Childs and Yo-Yo Ma was a rare and wonderful experience. And congratulations to Billy: the whole album, Map To The Treasure: Reimagining Laura Nyro, was nominated for Best Jazz Vocal Album!
