Musik Måndagar! In honour of Halloween on Friday, and the steady decrease of sunlight, today we have Linköpings groovy ghouls, Ghost. Formed in 2006, they released their debut Opus Eponymous in 2010 and quickly proved popular around the world, doing multiple tours and being a focus at many festivals. Their latest album, Infestissumam debuted at #1 at home in Sweden and hit 28 on the Billboard 200. The group is notable for their stage theatrics and anonymity. The band is comprised of five Nameless Ghouls, and their frontman, who simply goes by the name Papa Emeritus II, and dresses as a skeletal pope. Theyve helped popularize a recent trend in reviving the psychedelic dark rock seen in bands such as Strawberry Alarm Clock, Jefferson Airplane, and Black Sabbath, while also borrowing heavily from Denmarks Mercyful Fate and King Diamond.
