Muslims and almost everyone else are clear about the the place of religion to the state and family. Only Hindus are confused in not having the clear demarcation of where religious duty lies: to the state or family. It is hard to identify the state in the Hindu scheme of things. The Hindu religion for the ordinary Hindu are little more than rituals to mark rites of passage. This keeps Brahmans in business in business and every body else ignorant. There are the religious scriptures whose teachings are profound to those who prefer to forgo their critical faculties. Whatever the faults of the Christian religion, it does not abjure violence as a necessary instrument. It goes by the Old Testaments eye for an eye. Even Jesuss call to offer the other cheek is is misinterpreted: the slap on the cheek with the flat of the hand conjures contempt but any slap with the other side of the hand is about recognition of the other side to strike back. The pay back is only delayed to a more opportune moment. The Hindu religion gives full expression to nature but Hindus have invariably been led by charlatans of which MKG.
