Muslims like to quote the verse Not every one that saith unto me, - TopicsExpress

Muslims like to quote the verse Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven ; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. They imply that in this verse Jesus is saying that Christians arent going to heaven, and believe that it is Muslims who are, but if they actually read what Jesus is saying they would know that Hes not saying that at all. When Jesus says not everyone that says Lord, Lord, shall enter the kindom, the clear implication is that only some who call Jesus Lord will enter; Jesus further goes on to say that only those who do the will of His Father will enter. Now a pertinent question Muslims should ask themselves is Do we call Jesus Lord at all? The answer is no, no they do not. Not only do they not call Him Lord, but they deny that He has a heavenly Father, they regard Him as no more than a man. The next logical question would be How then would they discern the will of the Father if they deny His Son? Apart from Jesus one cannot know God the Father, and if you dont know Him, how could you possibly know His will? This puts them in an untenable position, by insisting that Jesus is indirectly saying that Muslims will come into the kingdom and that Christians will be cast out, they are affirming that He is in fact the Son of God, which is verboten in Islam. But not only are they affirming His divinity, they are outright refusing to submit to His authority, yet claim that they are the ones He will bring into the kingdom. Unwittingly, Muslims destroy their own argument when they attempt to use this verse as proof against Christians, let us not cease to pray for them.
