Must be something in the air, my Facebook feeds are all inundated with more uneducated and ignorant posts and post comments then Ive seen in a long time. I see lower ranking and less experienced students posting disrespectful comments on the posts of highly respected Black belts, among other things. I often wonder what their instructors would think if they saw these things, or if these individuals operate this way as the result of the lack of direction and structure theyre receiving from their instructors, or if they actually train. At the end of the day it all comes down from the top, or from a position of ignorance. The majority of the aforementioned individuals speak from a passionate position of authority on matters in which they dont have the knowledge, skill, or experience to entitle them to do so. I also get a laugh thinking about the fact 99.9% of them wouldnt say these things if the individual theyre commenting to or about was in front of them (see attached video). I guess herein lies the beauty of the internet, building false confidence, skills, knowledge, social status, and authority in the form of a small plastic and glass barrier (known as a monitor) since August 6th, 1991.
