Thus, Ramadan fastingshould be ended on Wednesday,7th August 2013 and Shawwal2013 should start on the next day,8th August 2013. However, asmall part of Russia, to the east ofOkhotsk, is not covered by theextension of the zone ofobservation on the evening of 7thAugust 2013. Similarly, for theKiribati Islands, the extension ofthe zone of observation covers upto Arorae Island. The eastern partof this island is not covered by theextension of the zone ofobservation on the evening of 7thAugust. In the case of Samoa andTonga islands, this zone does notcover the totality of the islands.Thus, in Kiribati, Samoa andTonga, Eid Al-Fitr 2013 should becelebrated on Friday, 9th August2013.
