Must read for all people whether muslims or non-muslims. Their are numerous people and societies who impose the marriage of Prophet Mohammed (p.b.u.h) and Hazrat Aisha. Well I say that: First of all you have take off the 21st century glasses, because at that time of civilization people used to get matured both mentally & physically very early as compared to the present civilization. The prophet first married Khadija (p.b.u.h) who was widow. And his marriage with her stated & introduced the principle of Widow Re-marriage. He never married any other women while Khadija lived. Mohammed married to Aisha (p.b.u.h) when she was 6 and she was taken to the prophets home at the time she turned 9. At the time a 9 year year old girl was as old and as matured as the girl of 18-20 yrs of present civilization.
