Must say that this seems completely crazy. The USDA has failed to make US citizens healthy since issuing its first Dietary Guidelines in 1980. So now the agency is onto secondary agendas, such as social justice and the environment. Who could not support those aims...but really: HEALTH FIRST. Figure that out, or why not just drop the Dietary Guidelines for a decade? Blow up old biases, do some real clinical trials and get back to us with some DGs that actually promote HEALTH?
