Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain announced to relinquish the party leadership voluntarily in reaction to the significant development in connection with Dr. Imran Farooq murder case. He said, “Scotland Yard and London Metropolitan police raided my London house and took away several things. It is now legally and ethically binding upon me to leave the party leadership.” The Muttahida chief furthermore added, “I will not engage any advocate, solicitor or barrister to represent me in Imran Farooq murder case. Instead, I will prefer to plead my case myself if the court took up the case.” Altaf Hussain urged upon the party workers to keep trust and continue their struggle, adding, “I will accept the ruling of the court whether it goes against me or in my favor.” Altaf Hussain announced to delegate all powers to the party’s Coordination
