Muzaffarnagar riots a big tragedy, Manmohan Singh says IANS | Sep 16, 2013, 10.50 AM IST MUZAFFARNAGAR: Terming the communal riots a "big tragedy", Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, during a visit to the violence-hit Uttar Pradesh district along with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday, called for punishing the guilty. Manmohan Singh asked the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure safety and rehabilitation of the people who were displaced. A grim faced Manmohan Singh spoke to officials as he walked through Bassi Kalan village and later Tawli amid tight security. As many as 48 people were killed, over 100 injured and more than 43,000 rendered homeless in the communal clashes that singed the area since September 7. The army was called in to contain the situation. Voice out for India We knew that the agent of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah will instigate the people for riots. The riot would have been crushed if Central Government would have advised the Utter Pradesh CM to watch the activities of Amit Shah and Bajrang Dal. Cenrtral government would have engaged RAW to monitor the activities of the Hinduvata group. Narendra Modi tasted success on killing minorities. His group would have initiated bomb blast in Bihar Buddha Mandir, but was crushed by Nitish Kumar. Congress and center should protect the people using all the possible intelligence. So the tear of Manmohan Singh and Sonia is nothing but crocodile tears.
