My 2 cents on the Noah movie (which I saw last night) -entertaining, nicely produced film -Aronofsky took a lot of creative license with the story, some of which was relatively innocuous, some of which was slightly more problematic -my only REAL PROBLEM/CONCERN with the movie is the portrayal of God :: 1. He is always referred to as the creator, never God (an intentional choice that suggests he created then stepped away, and will destroy, recreate, and again step away) 2. The sin that has so angered God is mans mistreatment of the creation (read natural resources, animal life, etc.). In reality, the pinnacle of creation, Gods poema, his masterpiece, is mankind. 3. The Creator is made to be some vindictive power who has chosen to damn mankind for their wickedness. According to Genesis 6, God was deeply troubled by the wickedness of man. I see a grieving father whos devastated by his childrens choices, not a vindictive deity who takes pleasure in destroying the world. That is all I have to say.
