My 4yo preschooler is asking, Daddy why is she crying? I just nonchalantly said gusto kasi nila nakawan yung mama. She asked again, bakit naman sya magnanakaw? I paused and just said magnanakaw kasi nanay at tatay nila kaya tinuruan sila... Again, she asked Bakit naman magnanakaw tatay nya? I just said, Yung lolo kasi nila tinuruan tatay nya na magnakaw. AGAIN, she asked, bakit naman magnanakaw lolo nya? Kasi yung tatay ng lolo nya magnanakaw rin. and then She blurted out para pala silang mga aswang!. And then I was suddenly reminded of the Senate hearings on Binay Familys loot... Before she could ask further and before I could malign the ancestors of this poor kid further, I just told her that children will do what parents do. I guess I was afraid to run out of answers. My 4yo aspires to be a doctor one day and help street kids. May God bless her endeavors.
