My 5th day of Thankfulness is for the people I work with at the food pantries and giveaways. It helps to know that you are not alone. It helps to be able to listen to their stories and pray for them. It helps that my acting silly brings a smile to them. It is also great to work with the other volunteers who work too. The hugs we get, some times tears... it is wonderful. While it would be awesome that we would have no need for soup kitchens or food giveaways or clothes giveaways. It is also a thankful moment to know that they are there, people love as well as putting hands and feet to the words of Jesus.
