My Aunt was brought by ambulance to the hospital this morning. 11 1/2 hours later we are still in treatment room/triage waiting for a room. This is beyond preposterous. It does not appear busy. No one is in a rush to do anything at all. The amount of people here solely for pain meds is insane. Most of the others are here for things that could be easily rectified at a doctors office yet more than once I have heard them say if they come here they wont have to pay. Meanwhile, my Aunt gets to wait for a bed next to a man handcuffed to his gurney. There is something fundamentally wrong with our healthcare system and with the priorities of this hospital. Rant over.......for now.
