My Christmas Back Fat Challenge! Half Way point! 2nd January....11st 5.5lb - 159.5lb - 72.5kg 16th January...10st 8lb - 148lb - 67kg Weight loss...11.5lb - 5.25kg I am not taking my measurements or fat percentage until the end of the month. I am feeling so much better than 2 weeks ago. The first 3 photos are of me this morning compared to the last 3 pictures which was me on the 2nd January. Starting to see a difference, especially around my stomach. Just starting to see some of my shoulder definition returning. Leanness and tone and how I feel is more important to me than weight loss. I will expect to see a difference in this in the next two weeks. I have juiced every day. I lost 7.5lb in the first 3 days as I ran my own juice and fitness retreat, even though I went out for a family meal and wine on the 3rd evening. The power of a 3 day intense kick start! I went out twice last weekend and had pizza and curry, drank wine on both evenings. I have had some chocolate and crisps. However on the whole I have eaten clean. Lots of green juice, raw salads and soup. I have not deprived myself of anything and have not felt guilty when eating my daughters Christmas chocolates when she was at school!...( although I should do, nothing to do with the actual chocolate though!) I have exercised almost every day. Including a 25 minute kettle bell DVD. I have upped my nordic walking, so the dog is getting extra! I use my fitbit to count my steps and have often done over 20,000 daily. No extra visits to the gym apart from to teach my own spinning classes. It is a commitment fitting it all in. But it is one I am happy to make. I am fully aware that somedays you physically do not have time, but this does not have to turn into some weeks, some months. I realise it is harder if your children are very young...i remember it well, it took even more effort. If you want it enough you will want to make time. I have not watched any TV in the evenings this week and I have been doing my kettle bell workout by 6.15am most mornings. I realise some people, due to injury or medical conditions are restricted by what exercise you can do. Find something if you can. I have seen people lose 3 stone and completely change the shape of their bodies just by nordic walking alone! I love it, but I also like pushing myself hard. I am not saying all this to boast, I just want to show you that it is possible, and it doesnt have to be all on just juice either. You can still go out and eat and drink and be healthy. You should never feel guilty about this. I spent too many years doing that. It is my sons birthday tomorrow and we are going to the pictures in the afternoon, no doubt I will have a couple of those plastic glasses of wine with some Ben and Jerrys peanut butter cup ice cream. Then we are going for pizza and probably another couple of glasses of wine..then home for games, cake and a bit more wine...no calorie counting, no guilt. I will get up on Sunday and have a lovely juice, specially made for the morning after! I am sorry if I sound like I am preaching but this is honestly how I live most of the time and combine juice into my lifestyle. When I am back to where I want to be, then I can, if I want to, ease off a bit. Exercise a bit less, drink wine a bit more, but one thing is for sure I will always have my juice! x
