My Christmas song share of the day comes from a discussion I had this past weekend with Dawn. It started with a question from Dawn: Who are some of the best known soul and gospel singers from the 40s and 50s? As I started naming off all the usual suspects, I hit upon Mahalia Jackson. Turns out, Dawn was looking for a CD of an album that her family had always listened to at Christmas time when she was young. I wasnt able to find that exact album, but I found one that was very close and that had the song she was really looking for - Go Tell It On the Mountain. Thanks to the magic of Amazon, it arrived on our doorstep last night and we will listen to it as we are driving to our Christmas Eve celebration tonight. This one, then, is for Dawn Adele.
