My Dad, Jim Cole, was a Co-Pilot of a B-26 Martin Marauder Bomber during WW2. A number of years ago I discovered that the B-26 was built in Tulsa. My thanks therefore to the men and women that labored to give him a plane that took him through 25 sorties (missions) and numerous bullet holes in the fuselage from enemy planes trying to knock him out of the sky. I found out about the bullet holes from his radio/navigator who wrote me after my Dads death telling of his kindness and leadership. Ironically, that man retired as a school teacher from Muskogee, OK. Small world.
