My Darling Sarah I pray for the strength to get through each - TopicsExpress

My Darling Sarah I pray for the strength to get through each day but it will be especially hard tomorrow... You see tomorrow will mark exactly 32 months to the day since your life was horrifically taken... and the 15th will also mark the day that Kaine will not only appeal his 18 months non-parole sentence, but after serving just five months of his sentence, the day he seeks bail. It is hard to hear that having killed two people that Kaine believes his sentence was too severe, especially when we are trying to cope with this nightmare that is now our life... especially as you were horrifically killed because someone decided that the lives of those on he road ahead were of little consequence to his driving. I try to be a forgiving person, and hopefully a loving husband, father and friend, and while I have forgiven Kaine as a person, I have not forgiven him for the selfish actions that would cause him to take your life. Fact: Kaine was a professional driver. He drove that section of the Hume every day. Yet he dangerously drove a minimum of 309 metres at 100 kph directly into you and your vehicle and unbelievably, not once did he look ahead. He was driving blind... Fact: When Kaine finally saw you, reacted and then pulled the steering wheel violently to the right, he was sitting in his cab just 7 metres away from you (0.2 seconds). Fact: And because the Tow Truck had a video camera, we would be left to witness your death played out in a court room as States evidence. Our life is now the stuff of nightmares... Summary: Kaine drove a drove lethal weapon into you leaving you in pieces on the Hume Highway... and as a result, your loved ones have been left shattered for the rest of their lives. If Justice is to be sought, then it requires three things: The person must be truly sorry for what they have done and must demonstrate this to those they have hurt by: i) immediately taking responsibility and apologising for their actions; ii) demonstrating their sorrow through acts of contrition; iii) seeking forgiveness from those who have been hurt. In taking the lives of two innocents, a life debt is forever owed. So if a person truly seeks justice, then they must abandon selfish actions and first seek justice for those whose lives have been destroyed, as well as for those who will suffer loss for the rest of time. I will always be inspired by you my darling, for your aim in life was to protect those innocents who no one cares about... My mission is now to continue your work by seeking justice for those who cant speak for themselves... and in seeking justice for those who dont matter in life... But tomorrow, I will be sitting in the NSW Supreme Court, and tomorrow its to let the world know that your life mattered... I will carry you gently in my heart, now and forever. Dad xox
