My Kick Review: Salman Khan dazzles at what hes best at - being Salman Khan. He stands, he moves, he sings (in his own voice!), he dances, he bashes villains and he cries. Thatd be ten dollars. Thank you for watching. Oh, acting? Thought youd never ask. Here lies the kick-er (sorry)! So when it comes to acting, Salman has some stiff competition in this movie. Luckily for him though, the two other actors in the movie are so sidelined and wasted, that it almost reminded me of the cut-onions they serve with spicy Hyderabadi Biryani. Randeep Hooda, the duty-bound & frustrated cop trying to nab Sallu bhai, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the hysterical make-shift villain, dont get to do jack! And Im not exaggerating here. The only things less important than their roles in the movie were the anti-smoking ads they showed before and during intermission. Oh and out of nowhere Nargis Fakhri chips in with a timely item number. And I say timely only because it gives you precious few moments to turn on your mobile and check your Facebook feed, which frankly, at this point, looks way more enticing than whats playing in front of you. In all, Kick lives up to its name. Youd be kicking yourself so hard for being so confident that youd seen the worst of Sallu bhai movies. Happy Eid yall ! :-)
