My New Years Resolution to maintain some kind of sanity is: If you are Latino/a, and you like anyone, who is not Latino/a, and has portrayed a Latino/a role, in a movie or TV show; I will unfriend you. The list is long, so I anticipate having a few dozen Latino friends left. That is okay, because the few who remain, have my back. I will start with Ben Affleck, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Wahlberg, Andy Samberg, Lou Diamond Phillips, Ariel Winter, Cliff Curtis, Mashiela Lusha, Al Pacino, Glenn Close, so many more. The list of non-Latinos, who have played Latino/a, is long. Over 2,198 names. That is how bad this domination of us is. I will scour these peoples fan pages, to see which Latinos like them. I will then unfriend them. You cannot be my friend, if you like those whom oppress us. I may end up with zero Latino friends, as that is how bad this exclusion is. No worries. There are always more Latino friends, who will not like my oppressors. This is all I can do, beside finish my movie. It is not much, but it makes me feel better, to at least have some power, over my life. I am not close to being as popular as any of these people, so I expect everyone, to side with our oppressors. That is the way it has been, for 4 decades now. No one, including many of us, is on our side. I will not unfriend you, if you are not Latino/a. This is not your battle. I do not blame you. I just want to get my people, to stop allowing themselves to stay oppressed. It will not work, as they are colonized beyond brain washed. It is all I can do, though, so I must do it. Power of the powerless.
