My Pentecost Invitation to the Table Pentecost is essentially a backwards invitation. Yes, you are invited to the table. Yes, you are invited to partake of the body and the cup. But Pentecost invites us to to be MOVED by the Spirit. As we are filled by this bread and this cup, we are challenged to be filled with the Spirit. And in this Spirit-filled state we are invited, encouraged and even somewhat pushed to go out into the world rather than gather in a place. You are invited to this table. You are invited to be filled with this feast. You are invited to be Spirit-filled as you go into this world encouraging Pentecost moments to breakout in the midst of a beautifully diverse world.
