My Silly CENI post (Following Randys lead): We are to remember - TopicsExpress

My Silly CENI post (Following Randys lead): We are to remember our Savior in the communion meal or Lords Supper. Well, we are ONLY authorized to remember him in such a way one time a week, only on Sunday, and the meal is a chip and a sip. IF you do not take the Lords Supper every Sunday and you are not sick or providentially hindered then you will go direct to hell (when you die) UNLESS you go before the congregation and ask forgiveness for your public sin against the church. Now, how is that one for you? :) Crazy......but true! ***I wrote the part below in a post within this thread; however, I decided to also add it here. I want to make sure that no one misunderstands my intent with this Original Post: CENI removes love and replaces it with law. It takes the precious Inspired Words given to us by our Creator and changes their intended meaning. It causes us to believe in commands that God never gave us. It leads man to rules, practices, steps, and rigid guidelines that are said to be from God....but are not. It imputes fear that should never be part of a child of Gods life. It steals joy and erases hope because with it we can never be enough or do enough to ever feel saved. Silly? I took that word from Randy Elliott in his post. Yes, in some ways the results of CENI are silly; however, it is much more sad than silly. CENI causes believers to teach and trust in what this man-made interpretation says the Scriptures say rather than just letting them speak to us through the Holy Spirit. Oh yeah, the Holy Spirit.....Thats another issue. Where does the Holy Spirit and His active, living within fit into the CENI doctrine? CENI leaves little room for His guidance. We need to stop and think about what we believe, why we believe it, read the Scriptures clearly for ourselves and make sure that no man or man-made teaching changes what God has shared with us as His Truth.
