My Soror/Survivor sister Nikki Starks challenged me to put a brief story on Facebook on what I went through while dealing with breast cancer. One of things that sticks out the most is when the doctor told me my tumor was malignant. I screamed, cried, yelled and threw my purse across the room. I told him he was a liar and I wanted to talk to his boss lol When you think of cancer you think of death and your whole life flashes before your eyes. But the thing that I could not deal with was loosing my hair and what everyone would think about me. We has women have a tendency to be vain for all the wrong reasons. But the women I am today is not the woman I was yesterday. Vanity and how other view me does not matter. You get a clear understanding of whats important like your family and friends that stuck by your side. I praise God for allowing to see another second, minute, hour and day. And for placing beautiful people in my life through the journey and after. I didnt realize my strength only comes from faith and my God. I love you all Facebook family! Im calling out Loretta Wright, Andrea Taylor, Sheryl Walkerand Polly Davis to take the challenge.
