My Story! A lot of you have known me for years, but I dont think I ever shared WHY I signed up for Scentsy. As most of you know, I medically retired out of the military in July of 2011, 11 short days after I had my baby boy. I wasnt sure what I was going to do other than go to school, but I know I didnt want to just get a job and leave him in daycare all the time. That is when I came across Jens posts about Scentsy. I had never heard of it and I was skeptical because of past experiences with other direct sales companies and I just didnt think that business was meant for me. I talked to Jen for a few days, still skeptical but wanting to try out the products. So I did. And I fell in love. I signed up on July 19th. It was the best decision I had ever made, even if I didnt know it yet. I was still skeptical but I wanted to try. I found a product that I loved, truly loved and I just had that feeling that this would be an amazing thing, if I let it be. I hit active in my first month selling. It was an amazing feeling. As time went on, my numbers were up and down, but my love for the product only grew. My team started growing and before I knew it, I had hit Lead Consultant. Then Star Consultant. I havent promoted past that YET, but I will. I know I can. My why changed several times since signing up. Originally my why was because I wanted something to do while I went to school full time, it was a hobby. Then it changed to, I love the products and I want to stay home with my baby. Finally, it changed to what it is now. My why is my family. I am an Army wife. My husband is gone more than he is home. My kids are my world. I want this business to allow my husband to get out of the military and do what HE wants to do. I want to stay at home with my kids for as long as possible. I want this business to be our income and not have to worry about whether or not we can pay a bill, afford a date night, or even afford diapers. My why changed when my daughter was born prematurely. She was 8 weeks early and so tiny. She is now a healthy 17 month old, but she is developmentally delayed. The amount of appointments for her is crazy, BUT I am able to be at each and every one of them because my JOB allows me to do that. I can take work with me, I dont have to ask for time off because I am the boss. I have been to amazing places for conventions and I am planning on earning my first ever incentive trip this time around. Why? Because I CAN and I know I CAN. I am growing as a person, more than I ever have before. I am a mom, wife, student, business owner. I am an Independent Scentsy Consultant.
