My Thoughts for the Day: NEW YAWK 8/6 Happy National Be Yourself Day!! I just made that day up. I got so excited to see that this morning was going to be 64 degrees! Unfortunately when you combine that with a sauna, its not so cool after all. I grew up in Miami with this humidity and hated (DISLIKED- Mom always told me not to use the word hate) it then, so this isnt going to be anything that changes anytime soon. ;) Happy Wednesday!! This morning I felt this overwhelming gratitude and excitement to be able to be ME. To be able to go out into the world with no masks, no agenda, no lies, no anything except the awesome task of presenting ME to the world. No better freeing feeling! I want to be clear that this joy I feel and this gratitude, this attitude of mine isnt something that I just roll out of bed with. I take the time to center myself each morning and connect with something greater than myself and I begin from there. That 5 minutes I take in the shower to do that, literally changes my day and my attitude around. When your car has been sitting in the cold for awhile, you dont just turn it on and go. You must warm it up, give it some love, and then gently get it going. We are no different. Some even rumble and grumble in the morning, too. Mustve been a rough last night for everyone on the train. This morning, my train car is filled with snoozers. Looks like the actor, John Voight just sat down next to me. Im trying to look at his phone but then I realize Im THAT person. Okay, so I looked and he is busy on Twitter. Could be him. Now he is playing Candy Crush. Celebrities play games too, right? Lol It wasnt him. Now all that did was make me want to play Candy Crush. Thanks for the impending anxiety, celebrity impersonator. Your dreams are waiting for you. After living in CA for so long, you forget what summer is. Everyone pretty much wears flip flops year round and goes to the beach. I only appreciated summer when I was in school because you got out of school. Living in a place that has changes in seasons, you see the excitement of people grow as a new season approaches and its been fun to watch summer plans being made, summer type books being read, and peoples excitement when they can finally make a trip to the beach. For me, I cant wait to wear my Fall jacket, scarf and cute boots. ;) Ive always loved Fall. I was the person who couldnt wait for the last month of summer to be over so I could go back to school. Plus, I got to wear all my new clothes. The two girls next to me are going selfie crazy. They have taken about 25 so far in the last few minutes. I wonder who came up with the word selfie and if they got credit for it? So I was thinking, since one of my dreams is to have my own TV show and public speaking circuit, maybe I can ask my FB friends to start sharing and tweeting my videos to Oprah (Oprah Winfrey Network), Ellen, Huffington Post, and any other big media outlet! Power of social media at its best. :)) Im feeling a bit brain dead today and Id really like some sushi. Why not throw in some sake while Im at it. ;)
