My Thoughts for the Day: NEW YORK 6/3 Crampy. Muggy. - TopicsExpress

My Thoughts for the Day: NEW YORK 6/3 Crampy. Muggy. Tired. Now you know why I shouldnt post today. But soldier on, I shall. Im using a napkin on the train pole again (John would be so proud) and it seems people stay away from me, so Ive got my personal space today. Maybe they think *I* have something. Ill start scratching soon just to confirm their suspicions. I had such a nice weekend with my family and John! I havent seen my Dad in a little over a year and spending time with him and my Uncle, was just so awesome! As Ive gotten older, I just genuinely love being around family. Ive gone so many years living on the opposite coast and only being able to see them (maybe) once a year. This feels so good to be in the same time zone and know that there will be many more visits. I also got to meet a cousin that Ive only met one when I was a young girl. There really isnt anything like family. Sad hes gone, but grateful for the time spent together. I have online workshops coming up and Im so excited! Im making them affordable for everyone and I cant wait to help inspire as many people as I can. Details coming soon! Im really excited that this idea was divinely inspired and one that I wont procrastinate on. So many stuck and hurting souls out there and it just want to hold their hand and guide them back to their center and power. I got a seat on the first stop! I think the Subway and I are forming a friendship. This morning I felt like a Mom. I was packing up lunch for both John and I, and I had laid out the assembly line of food, the ziplock bags, condiments, etc and just went to town. I suddenly thought, So this is what having kids feels like. Im sure its more than preparing lunches, but you get my point. Lol I would like to say that this has been the longest PMS Ive ever had. If Aunt Flo doesnt show today, that WELCOME mat is going away. This is getting ridiculous. I can only blame my moodiness and eating on this for so long. Im starting to notice more colors in fashion. Thank God. There was only so long I could tolerate the Night of the Living Dead look. Summer it is! Spring, but Im already sweating (sparkling) like its summer. We went to the 9/11 Museum this weekend. What a beautiful tribute to all the people who passed that day, to all those who gave their lives in service to others, and to all those who helped in some way that day and the months to come. They did such a beautiful job honoring the horrible events that happened. It was heartbreaking to walk through a lot of it, but I received the same message I did when it happened that day. I watch humanity come together in a way I dont think weve ever seen. From all over and from every race, religion, and background. We lost so much that day, but I truly believe we gained so much insight to who we really are at our core. We dont always stay mindful of that, however, knowing that we saw glimpses of it, encourages and inspires me to keep reminding people of our inherent beauty and goodness. Iced latte soon!! John had a caramel crunch frapaccino this weekend and that was the worst thing I couldve ever introduced him to. Now he wants one everyday and theres like 8 thousand calories in one. Worth the calories? Absolutely! I hope to be hearing from the other job by today. They finally got a hold of some of my references yesterday and Im hoping I can give my present temp job notice soon. Time for a change! I love adventure. :) At least if youre going to stare at someone, look away when they make eye contact with you. This girl just keeps staring straight at me. People do that a lot here. What I do love though is how people will have the most random conversations with you anywhere and about anything. Yesterday, a woman in the grocery aisle decided she wanted to tell me about how bad her allergies are and how she is carrying a dead body on her back and then showed me what that looks like. I told her I hope shes wearing comfy shoes. I mean, what do you say to that? I did tell her to feel better. My coworker just told me tht the Burger King by her house just started delivering. Because yes, we now need death delivered to our doorstep. I just saw a girl go into her high school with a large iced coffee. So crazy to see young kids hanging out at Starbucks and drinking coffee. I just got an email from one of those career websites saying they are interested in me and feel like I would be a perfect fit for their company. I would be a manager of a software development company. Ummmm, do they know me?! First off, anytime anything happens with my computer or anything related, I freak out. I just shut it down and pretend nothing is wrong. Im not sure Id MANAGE that job well on any level. Lol I got the other temp job! I start on the 16th! Its data entry (so not too exciting) but Im working in the archives dept with registry books that are 300 years old that Ill be transcribing. The best part is that its part time hours so it leaves me the rest of the day to do what Im passionate about doing. I just told John to come meet me after work because the sky was blue (it was supposed to rain) and now while he is on the train, half the sky turned dark. Oops. Guess Ill have to force him to take cover in a restaurant or something. ;) I just got a phone call from CBSs The Talk. Ill be submitting a video with my opinion on a topic and it will be aired on the show. :) I have to work on being concise so I dont take over the whole segment. Good luck with that, Shari. Im thinking that if I do awesome, maybe theyll ask me to be a correspondent. ;) Dream big! Okay, Im done writing.
