My all time favorite Brooklyn cake was this special crumb cake...a thin layer of cake piled with crumbs. The bakery used to wrap it in wax paper and tie it up with string. My then boyfriend loved the same cake only his was stuffed with whipped cream. Right Tony? I was always running to the bakery to get his favorite cake. He also liked bacon lettuce and tomato sandwiches on toast but only with Miracle Whip...
