My attempt at lyrics / poetry. Life, you get out of it what you put into it Unfortunately those who came first got to put the most in And youll quickly learn that the first to come used poison And what you really think is real is simply an illusion But wait it gets better A system of debt induced poverty will make slaves of you and me While our leaders sit back quietly Trading our hopes and dreams subtly To those who cant be satisfied The ones who will use tricks and lies The ones who want success so bad They are willing to let go of what humanity could have had But you know what I really find sad? That you and me have a chance right here and right now to make a difference Not something small something that could change the course of all things in existence A chance to spread love and forgiveness A chance to experience true happiness Something all of us deserve But will never achieve with whom we serve Now take a second to think of who you do things for and why And if it starts with Me, Myself, Or I You need to take a step back and decide What you find truly important and I hope you dont choose to follow in our ancestors foot steps.
