My aunt Vickie Murphy goes into my moms ICU room alone and says to her sister Owanna, if yourre ready, then go. Go be with Mom and Dewayne. I love you. Good-bye, Sis. This was fairly early in the afternoon. A few hours later, my aunt Ginger finds herself alone with my mom. So, she lets her dying sister know that she too would not be mad or upset if she went to be with God, Mom, and Dewayne. 7:00 p.m.---- I finally get a sec alone with Momma, and stand there staring at her pale, yet, beautiful face. Finally, I lean down, kiss her forehead, and say through sobs, Momma, I love you more than anything. You were not just my mom, you were my BEST FRIEND!!! But, I would be being selfish if I asked you to get better. So, even though it wont be easy losing you, I would rather you be with Granny, Uncle Dewayne, Great Granny, and be without any more pain or suffering than to get better. Momma, youre finally free! I love you, the girls love you, and we want YOU to FINALLY be free!!!! I know youre ready to go, so go. Me and the girls promise to not be upset or mad at you. I love you, Momma. Ill see ya when I get there. 11/14/2014 @ 7:35 p.m.------ Owanna Jean Jernigan Butler Fox was pronounced dead at Cartersville Medical Center. For me, I feel as though Im in a nightmare, and theres no chance of me ever waking up. I also feel more lost than a person could feel. There are quite a few more emotions that I feel, but not as important as the feeling of PURE EMPTINESS in my chest. I wanted to thank everyone who prayed for my mom. She may not have been able to come home, but shes not suffering anymore.
