My beloved sister Priscilla Kelsey posted the following message. Please pray for her: Hey guys, could use your prayers today. Have not been feeling my best for a few weeks now so I had my colonoscopy and endoscopy done a few days ago and they did find a polyp and waiting now on biopsy results. Also sent off to see if I have any kind of bacteria going on that is aggravating my intestines that is causing me to continue to have these bouts with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea now at least one and two times a month instead of the twice a year deal when it first started. One piece of good news is that I dont have esophageal stricture as was suspected, but the bad news is that my swallowing issues is being caused by a new complication after all these years from the Lupus which in turn may also be part of these underlying gastrointestinal issues I am having as well. From the beginning my kidneys were involved and I knew from day one that by me having the systemic form of Lupus that the day could come that all of my vital organs could become involved and last year we discovered I have moderate aeortic valve stenosis and now this year we discover my gastrointestinal system is involved, but even with all of this going on I know I am still blessed to have had 23 years of remission without all of these organs giving me problems before now. There is not a whole lots medicine wise we can do to treat the swallowing issue since I am already being treated for the Lupus and acid reflux, so I just have to cut my food a lots smaller and eat a lots slower to try and offset me choking. So if you see me choking and turning blue, PLEASE COME TO MY RESCUE (ha!) I am also once again facing a decision concerning my back and spine issues, since we are not getting the long term results we were hoping for on the nerve root blocks. We were hoping to get at least 6 weeks to several months but I am only getting 2 to 3 weeks maximum of relief now and since we have already tried physical therapy, epidurals, nerve root burnings and now the nerve root blocks, we are down to possibly two options left, the nerve stimulator (which I still have some concerns and reservations about) or surgery (which I also detest the thought of more surrgery), but none-the-less, these are my options at this point unless God intervenes with a cure. So I have a lot of decisions to make over these next couple of months or so and your prayers are greatly needed and appreciated. As you all know, I am a fighter and I will still be fighting until I draw my last breath on this earth and please dont think for one minute that I feel sorry for myself because I know that no matter what I face in the future, God is in total control. I want to be totally submissive to His will, not mine, and while I believe with all my heart that He is still not quite finished with me on this earth, I know I am ready to move my address whenever He says its time. So put those prayers in motion and as always I know God will hear and answer according to His plan. Love and appreciate all of you so much.
