My best friend growing up was a woman born in 1898. Love you Lydia! I have a lot of ways of being I got from her that are soooo outdated it makes people stop and stare. Words like twattle and cattywumpus to name a few. Do you have any sayings that are so outdated no one has a clue what your talking about? She use to say they would throw the baby out with the bath water . . . we were so poor we didnt have a pot to piss in . . . . “Don’t take any wooden nickels!” . . . . The only people out in this heat are mad dogs and Englishmen 0_o . . . . Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades (eeek). One thing I loved about Texas was the way with words! That there is dog vomit slime mold.
