My biggest frustration with our current educational institutions, they are doing so little with this gold mine of information!! Every child is different and that is why we have all been taught about the different learning styles. It is not for the teachers to find which one works best for them it is for the students. We, as teachers, are responsible for helping find which learning style fits each student and adjust our teaching styles to benefit the students! If a student is not understanding what is being taught I personally take that to mean that I am failing as a teacher because I am not teaching in a way that the student understands. Too many people see it as the student is the one that is failing and in my eyes that is totally wrong! Rally around teachers that teach by working with students and who teach one lesson in multiple ways in order for all students to be given an opportunity to learn!
