My body is preparing for an eighth day of riding down the California coast but I havent told it not to yet. My butt is clenching, the calluses on my hands are hardening, and my sunburnt lips are pursing. But thats a wrap, folks. Two nights ago in Ventura, on the same beach where, as a kid, I once built sandcastles with my dad, I camped out and participated in a candlelight vigil for all of those who have lost their lives to HIV/AIDS. Never before had I felt closer to my beautiful home state of California and the cause for which I was riding. Its too early to tell if Ill be asking for your generous contributions again in a year but I will say that AIDS/LifeCycle is something everyone should experience.
