My brother,Don Groce, would have been 75 years old today. He passed from this life to another Nov. 4, 2008. He retired as a Senior Chief Boatswains Mate in the Navy. He willingly signed up for 3 tours in Vietnam Nam. Honors awarded him for his service include The Navy Cross, 5 Purple Hearts, 3 Bronze Stars with Combat Valor, 2 Navy Commendation Medals, Combat Acton Ribbons, National Defense Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citations, Brigade Level Vietnam Nam Gallantry Cross and Regiment Level Vietnam Nam Gallantry Cross as well as numerous Good Conduct Medals. He loved his country and I loved him. I am proud of the man he was. Not a day goes by that I do not miss him. So, Happy Birthday brother. I know you will be celebrating in heaven with our Mother and Daddy and all those who have gone before me. I love you and thank you for your service.
