My brother and I made this tribute video to Thirty Seconds to Mars - TopicsExpress

My brother and I made this tribute video to Thirty Seconds to Mars after our Dad passed away on August 8, 2014. He battled liver cancer for 4 1/2 years and I never truly understood how devastating cancer was until I saw it take my Dad. I felt really passionate about making something that would reflect how I was feeling about this moment in my life. Thirty Seconds to Mars is not just a band to me, they are everything. Without their music, I would be a complete and utter broken person...they are keeping me strong and faithful while I cope with losing my Dad. This video is my story on how I have become more than just a fan of Thirty Seconds to Mars but how I became an Echelon. Becoming part of the Echelon movement is being a person who, even in her darkest days will find hope, peace, and love. These people become your family who understand your struggles and lift you up and help you fight for a life worth living. At my Dads funeral, I slipped a note in his casket that read “No, I’m not saying, I’m sorry. One day maybe we’ll meet again.” Which is a lyric to the song Closer to the Edge. That was the defining moment when I knew this band was more than just a band. Over the recent weeks after my Dads death their music is helping me believe in life, dreams and the pursuit of happiness. My Dad wouldn’t want his children to be angry or sad. He would want us to live our lives and enjoy every single moment. And Thirty Seconds to Mars is helping me achieve this every single day. As of right now, I have to thank Shannon, Tomo, and Jared because they are saving my life with their music. I hope you get a chance to watch my video and please SHARE it and LIKE it, so other people who might be going through the same thing can know that they are not alone. Thank you, Meghann https://youtube/watch?v=iHbjv2TECSg
