My brown grand daughter (front and center) among 2nd Grade classmates and high schoolers. In addition, an email from daughter: Just got good news fr Sharon School (Catalinas school)! Catalina was nominated by her 2nd grade teacher and selected as 1 of 3 students in the whole school as a Peer Mentor in a program called Recess Rangers. She was chosen by teacher for her Exemplary Role Modelling and Social Skills among her peers. She will be participating in a Peer Mentoring Group once a week during recess as a Peer Mentor for a group of 6 students. The Speech Therapist who is heading the project told me this is really such a GREAT HONOR for her to be picked. Proud to be Pinoy brown and Loved It.
