My candid take on Femi Fani-Kayode article- YOUROBA: A Nation, not a tribe. Quite an informative article I must say, though not far from the account of an ethno-centric reseacher. Now, to the brilliant writer and fellow, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, well, I do hope you still remember that prime element in history that says wishful thinking is not an ingredient of history. So, in your cause to achieve ethnic glorification, especially as you fuse and marshal out your perceived facts in history inorder to score points -thereby upholding ethnic-chauvinism, always be mindful of the foregone details that could have helped you in balancing your zealous research. This is one way you can validate your deliberate and usual distortions of classical theories that governs research. However, I would equally not fail to commend your take on Sovereign National Conference. But I would also advice that you spare Nigerians of your continuous belligerent, petti-fogging and ethnic-hullabaloo that has characterised your usual comment on national issues. Cos the axiomatic truth remains that every tribe, ethnicity or group have a rich cultural history, infact you cannot label any of them as inferior in terms of functionality and contribution to national development. Though, in our beloved Nigeria we have a situation where some ethnic groups that fancy themselves as superior owing to population; occasioned by betrayed and corrupt privileges borne of greed and tribalism continue in their domineering quest. -Comrade Augustine Ogechukwu Nwulia
