My co workers and I had a really awesome discussion today about household dynamics and male roles today. In a nut shell from my own personal experiences as well what I see in the social service realm day to day. i have determined that most grown boys are so accustomed to a female a. Taking care of them b. Not holding them accountable when they do wrong or c. Not holding them to moral standards period that when they do meet someone that simply wont theyre shell shocked. Im beyond convinced that males who are accustomed to the women in their family giving them EVERYTHING to try and pacify the absent father, grow up and proceed to look for a partner that will do the same. Hence the society we live in today. Fathers are important for men period, uncles, grandpas, whatever it is they need those male figures and as powerful as women are we cannot make men. In 2014 we have males who look for their mothers in their mates and a bunch of females who suffer from daddy syndrome, either youll get male attention by any means or you feel like you dont need a man at all.
