My dad, Dick Busch, taught at Edina HS from the late 1950s up until his untimely death in the mid-1980s. He was a member of that great teaching fraternity that included Lowell McCarthy, Dick McCarthy, Art Downey, Ted Greer, Larry Stotts, Ev Anderson, Del Frederickson, Tom Beaver and so many others. I feel fortunate that I got to know those educators outside of the classroom --they were among the best teachers in the nation and the most caring and decent of men. I found this name tag while going through some boxes of family stuff today. I think the faculty wore them to parent/teacher conferences, sporting events, etc.
