My dad Sam Gaetano left me unwillingly April 14, 2001. Cancer is a brutal disease and I pray that an effective treatment and better yet, cure, can be discovered for the harder to treat cancers. There is not a day that goes by that I cry on demand just thinking about him for one second. No one was closer to me, and life isnt the same without him. His 2 grandsons sure help, and dominic sure reminds me of him in so many ways (i got pregnant with Dom 2 days after my dads funeral) and he would have loved these boys. Even though we cant see our dads, moms, kids, brothers sisters loved ones who have succumbed to the battle of cancer, I know they are around us.
