My dad, my HERO! Not to be confused with: Made it to the top ten, or in some ways, but the way I mean it, as in, if I could be like any man I ever knew, read about...my dad, the good, the bad, the ugly, not that I saw any (ANY), MOM has, Im sure, but good luck getting the epitome of a good wife, & mother to gossip on her helper, & that she never subverted his authority,or said a thing in the world to tarnish his name, which is so vital to salvation, as it is all but impossible to love God the Father, while looking down on our Earthly father, & I assure you, regardless of the dull details of every mans case, can only be where your calculator is F ed ass up, my friend. Dont let the sight of a fellow man down, beget your enjoyment of being up, lest you curse that as well as the day of your birth, or as dad says it, more clearly, borrowed: better to light a candle, than to curse the darkness. My dad works, worked way too much, in a noble calling, where help is seldom found, because care like my dads, once in a lifetime. Ive read countless of his co-workers Christmas cards in which the giver tells my dad that he is closer to Christ, than anyone they had ever met. Ive heard so many of his patients say he was the only one who couldve helped, & he cant ignore the cries, which seems such a heavy cross, a dull detail in light of the crown with his name on it. Ill admit toquoting G K Chesterton, & Bishop Fulton Sheen ad nauseam, but what he admires, to the 10th or thereabouts for me. I also admit to maybe, once or twice, a year, lording over him my ability to wire an oven, or wire a cieling fan, things a monkey can do, but it dont get no better than being admired by the man we most admire, & the monkey wouldnt drink all his beer, but he would pee in it, ,
