My daughter, being a toddler, has always loved to play with letters. Foam letters, plastic, whatever. Some of her favorites were little wooden letters that spell my name. She would pretend they were her and dada, or her and mama, and make them go on all sorts of little adventures. They seemed like just plain little things, but they were very special to me because my grandpa made them for me. He passed away today. I wish I could have learned more about him, but from every single thing I learned I know he was a wonderful man. Every time I see Lyla playing or spelling with those letters Ill know hes watching us.
