My daughter has been raised to be agnostic, like her dad. Today, on Easter Sunday, I explained to her the significance of the day, and why it is so important - the very crux of Christianity, because if Jesus did not rise from the dead to fulfill the prophets, He would not be THE son of God. A great prophet, a great role model, a great teacher, but not THE BIG GUYS son. So, I told her about the 40 lashes, the casting of lots for His robe, the crown of thorns, the crucifixion, no bones broken, the tomb of Joseph, the entire Passion. Then I told her about how He was crucified on Friday, and then on Sunday morning, His tomb was found empty, because He rose from the dead. After all the careful explanation, the only thing she had to say was, That is so creepy. SMH!
